Five students from the Philippines were selected to be part of the 2020-2021 AWS Educate Student Ambassadors. Aside from myself, Adrian John Antonio from Asia Pacific College, Christian Mark Bituin from Edukasyon, King Perez from Ateneo de Manila University and Matthew Emmanuel Villarin from Technological University of the Philippines. In total, 326 student ambassadors were selected from 282 academic instutions across 50 counties worldwide. The full list of ambassadors are published in AWS Blog.

At first, I wasn't keen on joining the program. It was February 21 when I got an email invitation and I wasn't sure if I'll be accepted if I join. March 30 was the time when I decided to join out of curiosity. May 1 AWS released the announcement and I am one of the successful participants for the program.
